Le village de Luogosanto (en gallurese Locusantu) est le principal centre habit\u00e9 de la commune du m\u00eame nom, comptant un peu moins de 2000 habitants, situ\u00e9 au c\u0153ur de la Gallura, \u00e0 314 m\u00e8tres au-dessus du niveau de la mer. Il doit son nom au fait qu’au XIIIe si\u00e8cle, des moines franciscains y ont construit deux \u00e9glises sur les lieux o\u00f9 v\u00e9curent, \u0153uvr\u00e8rent et furent enterr\u00e9s deux saints ermites (Saint Nicolas et Saint Trano), ainsi qu’un couvent et une troisi\u00e8me \u00e9glise d\u00e9di\u00e9e \u00e0 la nativit\u00e9 de la Bienheureuse Vierge Marie.
Cette derni\u00e8re re\u00e7ut du pape Honorius III le privil\u00e8ge de la porte sainte et le titre de basilique mineure, renfor\u00e7ant ainsi le r\u00f4le de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence religieuse de Luogosanto pour les fid\u00e8les de la Gallura et au-del\u00e0. Autour du sanctuaire – qui se trouve exactement au centre du village et d’o\u00f9 partent les trois axes routiers – \u00e0 partir du XIXe si\u00e8cle, le village actuel s’est d\u00e9velopp\u00e9, devenant une commune autonome en 1947, annexant \u00e0 son territoire environ 200 stazzi (habitations typiques et fermes autosuffisantes) et 5 hameaux (Bulbuseddu, Chessa, Crisciuleddu, Lu Mocu et Vaddid\u00falimu).
Sur le territoire de Luogosanto, on trouve pas moins de 20 \u00e9glises rurales, auxquelles s’ajoutent les b\u00e2timents en ruine, ceux qui ont disparu et les attestations historiques difficiles \u00e0 prouver, ce qui porte le nombre d’\u00e9difices religieux d’origine \u00e0 un chiffre compris entre 33 et 38.
Parmi les sites d’int\u00e9r\u00eat arch\u00e9ologique et historique majeur, on peut citer l’Ermitage de San Trano, construit par les m\u00eames franciscains responsables de la r\u00e9alisation de la basilique, le Palais de Baldu, un centre administratif et diplomatique de l’\u00e9poque des Judicats, fr\u00e9quent\u00e9 entre le XIIIe et le XVe si\u00e8cle, et le Ch\u00e2teau de San Leonardo avec la petite \u00e9glise de San Leonardo di Noblac, \u00e9galement de l’\u00e9poque des Judicats.
Depuis toujours centr\u00e9e sur une \u00e9conomie agropastorale, Luogosanto valorise ces derni\u00e8res d\u00e9cennies son centre historique et ses nombreux sites arch\u00e9ologiques et naturels, attirant les voyageurs qui aiment la nature, le sport, la culture et les saveurs authentiques.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
